this is so much better than FSX, yes, FSX was cool. it gives you a chance to learn about modern aircraft, general flying techniques, and general avionics. But DCS, adds so much more. the flyable aircraft is so detailed, and all the avionics works like it should (like the real thing) , the cockpits are fully interactive, every switch, button, dial works like the real thing. DCS combat simulator was designed by a group of programmers with a few retired airforce veterans from the russian forces. its free to download DCS world and the first "module" is free, featuring a russian jet. But the other aircraft, you must pay a small amount. These "modules" all fit into the main DCS world and can interact with eachother in full blown combat. The DCS world is always in development , alot of updates along the way. DCS is all about realism, as close to a combat pilot can get without leaving the ground!                           Below, the P51 mustang module, just an external view. The cockpit is really incredible, every system, gauge,etc is modeled down to a T, and functions like the real thing as every aircraft they offer.

                   Above, the huey helicopter module. again, very detailed, as the cocpit is un-believeable. every gauge, switch, dial reacts like the real thing. It also flies like the real thing, so its good to have experiance flying microsoft simulators .
